About Megan Collier

You are here

Megan is a self-taught artist and has been painting and exhibiting in New Zealand for the past 16 years. Her works are sold through private sales, commissions, NZ galleries and art events.  Her preferred medium is both oil and acrylic on board. She handcrafts her own frames and finishes with either resin or archival varnish.

Recent developments have brought evolution and life to her paintings. Architecture often remains, recognising the vital role these overlooked structures play in our lives. Her work combines ideas of heritage, local identity, biodiversity and sustainability.

In a world of mass production, urban deserts and mono-culture, the wild landscape and the vital life they sustain, now stand unique; one of the greatest pleasures of them all.

Through these paintings she hopes to encourage you to rediscover, nurture and enjoy your own wild environments whilst taking a breath and relaxing.
